Celebrating Antionette & Brendan’s 6 month Wedding anniversary

Celebrating Antionette & Brendan’s 6 month Wedding anniversary

On the weekend of their 10 year anniversary, Antionette & Brendan tied the knot. How Romantic! From questionable costumes at a memorable Halloween party all the way to the glorious Ashley park house, Antionette & Brendan reflect on their journey together and spill the tea on their dreamy big day, just for us!

Antionette & Brendan were first introduced to each other by a mutual friend at a fancy dress Halloween party. Brendan dressed as a Red Devil and Antionette as Chucky. As she said herself ‘Not very glam!’

And so their journey began…

Brendan spent months planning a very special proposal to Antionette. He had a beautiful round brilliant natural solitaire handcrafted by Tadgh Óg. Luckily the two men managed to keep the secret under lock and key. Antionette was none the wiser that her own engagement ring was being custom made right under her nose.

On their 7th anniversary Brendan romantically whisked Antionette away to the stunning Cliffhouse in Ardmore where he got down on one knee and popped that all-important. To his delight, she of course accepted his proposal.

Like many other couples, covid had its effect on their wedding. Originally due to be married in 2019, but April 7th 2022 rolled around and as if it was written in the starts, Antionette & Brendan were married on the weekend of their 10 year anniversary. It was meant to be. From the moment the wedding morning began every single detail of the day flowed with a blissful atmosphere in the air. As the couple said themselves ‘Good Vibes!’ all around.

As Antionette is a beloved member of our Nenagh team, she of course had her and Brendan’s wedding rings custom made by Tadgh Óg. Antionette choose two straight 2mm platinum castel set bands that accompany her stunning engagment ring perfectly. Brendan choose a timeless 5mm platinum band. Both Antionette & Brendan have added sentiment in their rings as both have elements of their own parents wedding rings made into their rings.

As anyone who has been married will know, the wedding day can bring unexpected obstacles. To keep it real, we asked Antionette and Brendan what the hardest part of their day was. The wedding day can get pretty overwhelming, as a bride there's a lot of attention on you. Even though it's all heart felt, it can at time get a bit much, don't be afraid to ask for a few minutes to gather yourself in between the madness, and someone needs to get the bride a refreshment during the day as she won't get to the bar!

Recalling the events of the day, there are lots of little moments that still make them both smile. The funniest part of their wedding day took place during the speech’s amid an embarrassing power point presentation of childhood photos. Just at the right time a little guest swooped in, giant ballon in hand and covered the photos. It’s the little things that make the day!

From everyone at Tadgh O’Flynn Jewellers, we wish both Antionette & Brendan a life time of love & hapiness as they continue their love story.
